strewth, someones keen lol

yeh thats an epic u got there, fl 5 is such a pain in the arse if u dont got a midi keyboard, especially with such melodical diversity. i tend to give up after about 9 hours and id appreciate if someone with alittle class about there music maybe check out my best song lol, its called elected relief. i realise alot of people ask cats for reviews and stuff its just that i think that after the years of work ive put in it aint too bad. anyways keep on doin ur thin bro cause its working well, have a good one.

cornandbeans responds:

yea, I just got one for christmas, and this was one of the first songs I actually tried using it a lot on.

Thanks for the review, man. :)

shibity shibity

hehe cheers for the review el nombre!
haha musically, this is really very good, lol i just dont agree with the drums and bass lol, but thats because i only like frantic high energy jap crap lol. but yeah like the strings and stuff u used and the pianos, obviously u have some musical ability outside computers...!?

anyways ill have to have a listen to ur bros music, kepp up the good work...and if possible, download the trial ver of fl 5, its rather good...i prefer it to reason.

i know im no expert but invest a little more time into fl5 before jumping ship lol haha

(^,^)

Sebby-man responds:

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked it! I don't actually play any musical instruments outside of the computer but I tend to use instruments such as piano and strings in my songs. By the way, I did download the fl5 trial version before you posted this, and I made a song on it. If you want to hear it, it is Dark Introduction. But I didn't really like fl much, so that is why I got Reason. I know you think I should try fl 5 more, but Reason 3.0 is excellent (I got it 3 days ago) and I made my best song on it. I will post the song on this Tuesday (that's how much confidence i have in it :) )

By the way, the demo version of Reason sucks, so maybe that turned you away from it...

Thanks for the review and good score, I'm glad you liked it!!

what r u smokin indeed? lol

twang diddly, thats tis the sweetest drums ive heard done on fl, it suits the melody line. my only thought was perhaps the slayer was a wee bit loud lol. other than that id say woop woop woop woop woop woop woop in a manner befitting repect towards the three stooges. keep it real

danglada responds:

That's actually not my drumloop. I found it in the Patch Bank.

high ho silver away

synthyness. realy anthemy at the end. nice volume dealy on the snare fill. the yo dj pump this party thing sounds slightly out though. meh. i overall like this song a whole bunch i just dont really like the main synth sound. i just find it a bit cliche these days. u hear it in every 3rd song for god sake. eh cant say i havent used it myself though.
anyways no more rambling.

NDP responds:

thx lol

Nicolas..

druggy indeed

man i am so wacked right about now, that shit is tang!! its like goin thru ur head and like bouncing off the walls. needed to be like a ful song tho

aloneinthedark1 responds:

im working on it still. not vary much thou because i hit a vary large bug in the program. i had to switch to fl and try to make it all soud the same, it dosnt... so i dont know if it will get finnished

nicely done

lotsa synths there lol. not a clash in sight either. drums coulda been a bit stronger, or at the least a ride cymbol or hihat axcentuation on the 2nd beat.
thats about it id say. have a good one.

aloneinthedark1 responds:

thanks alot! ill update it

damn the vengaboys

i take it that this was supposed to be the vengabus theme. god damn it why? am i the only one who doesnt hate that song with a passion? jees u suck for that.

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

lol im doin it cuz the song makes me laugh, and i always liked the happy mood lol

rap songs dont need words

i like the intro part being separate from the main body of the song. the main body also is really good. if u wanna get insainly technical i would say maybe have a bass melody in the hearing threshold that compliments the drums, just to harden the loop and add a little more continuity. also maybe turn the bass down cause theres a bit of feedback throught the chorus and verse. the scratching works really well and the goodnight sample suits well. sorry if my analysis of ur stuff seems over critical, i certainly couldnt do any better, im just offering an opinion. keep goin with the hip hop beats bro, its sounding sweet!!

chead86 responds:

This is the kinda review I like, tips to help me improve the little things in my beats, so thanks for that. I always have trouble with the bass because i have a sub, so it's hard to judge whether or not another person's computer is going to take the sound.

bouncey

i must say the drums loop is very very nice. lotta bounce in the rythym. a real song to crank on an ipod walking around downtown. the main bell melody is sweet, but the second one i dont like as much. i use fruity loops for my stuff and i dont know the intricassys of other programs. by this i mean that the thick leady melody that does the chords is a nice choice of instrument in relation to the bass and the strings. gives it a harder edge to a calm collected song. once again however i must dissagree with that second bell melody. maybe just one or 2 clashy notes. other than that id say theres nothing wrong at all with this. top shelf!!

chead86 responds:

Ah, finally a lengthy review, i appreciate it. The second bell melody was meant to be a LOT quieter, and i didn't mean for it to come in at the same time as the first one. thnx again for the review.

cozmic

thats some funky beatage goin on right there. sounds like a video game ive played before but i cant quite put my finger on in. all in all though its a well balanced song, just about every melody compliments the others (except maybe that string instrument). the drippy water effect works well as the highlighted instrument and the 80's echoed snare does well. more or less i like this song a whole bunch. keep up the gourd work! ^-^

chead86 responds:

Thnx for the review, I kinda meant for the String to be off-key as to give it that creepy vibe. And i'll try and keep up the gourd work.
